The avatars were designed for use in the Happyhour business plan to provide a coherent experience throughout the document. The simplistic art-style was chosen to echo a resemblance to the Happyhour branding and identity, allowing key characteristics to convey important identifiable attributes. Initially the founding members were drawn to fill placeholders inside the document. Later more generic individuals (based on close friends and family members) were drawn to provide a sense of familiarity to the reader.
