Bauhaus Posters

Envisioned as a theoretical design project, the posters portray an advertisement for the grand opening of the Bauhaus-Archiv building, Berlin and the re-opening following renovation, respectively. Both poster designs follow Bauhaus design principles in regards to the use of primary colours, simplistic forms and a considered arrangement.

Bauhaus-Archiv: Neueröffnung im Dezember 1979 Poster

The poster was designed to mark the opening of the Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin. The building provides archival and exhibition space for the Bauhaus school, where related objects can be displayed and stored. The typographical form of the Joschmi font is utilised to portray the distinctive architecture.

Bauhaus Archiv: Wiedereröffnung 2022 Poster

The poster was designed to mark the opening of the extension of the Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin. The extension is currently under construction and will open to the public in 2022. The poster portrays the extension as proposed by Staab Architeken in their competition winning visualisations.

This project was completed as an entry into the Adobe Hidden Treasures design competition.
