Superilla Participation Network was created for a group parametrical architecture project from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, Barcelona. I was tasked with designing a prototype application with the aim to act as a local social networking solution that allows users to locate unoccupied seats throughout the city. The seats display QR codes and once scanned grant access to local community pages; on here local events can be discovered alongside community feedback surveys.

Branding

The colour scheme consists of a monochromatic palette of bold red with softer accent shades. The proud red colour was influenced by the Catalan flag, enhancing the presence of pride within the local connected communities.

The logo drew inspiration from the ‘Flor de Barcelona’ Panot, an urban symbol which embodies Catalan identity. As the concept of the project was to join a community together, I combined this idea with the distinctive symbol. This created a new ‘Panot’ that defines local values by envisioning a connected community as one holding hands.
